Program overview

Designing for Mental Health focuses on the intersection of architecture, interior design, and psychological well-being. This course equips participants with the knowledge to create environments that promote mental health, emphasizing the importance of spatial design in fostering emotional resilience and overall wellness. Through a project-based approach, learners will engage in hands-on activities that challenge them to apply theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios, ultimately enhancing their design portfolios.
Participants will explore various design strategies that can positively impact mental health, including the use of natural light, color psychology, and biophilic design principles. The course culminates in a final project where learners will design a space specifically tailored to enhance mental well-being, allowing them to synthesize their learning and showcase their skills. The results of these projects are encouraged to be published in Cademix Magazine, providing an opportunity for participants to share their innovative ideas with a broader audience.
